In this session, we will explore the extraordinary – but often erased – ambiguity of “the veteran narrative.” We will discuss why acknowledging this ambiguity is so vitally important, and we will workshop practical and concrete ways to ensure that support services on your campus are imagined in a way that keeps student veterans from becoming “either characters in a civilian story or caricatures of civilian assumptions.”
