Stories are powerful marketing tools

Elevate Vets(EV), created and supported by Veterans Education Success (VES), is a resource that provides higher education professionals with resources and insights to effectively support military-connected students, develop professionally, and be successful with this unique community of non-traditional learners.

Several working groups, made up of EV members, have been formed under the guidance of the EV Advisory Board.  One of those is focused on veteran graduation rates, how they are reported, and analyzed.

A moderated, roundtable style discussion has been organized for the purpose of spreading awareness on the topic, gathering feedback from higher education administrators, and furthering the dialogue to solve the issues and questions surrounding the topic.

Audience:  Registrars, Institutional Research Professionals, School Certifying Officials, and other higher education professionals interested in the topic.

Issues and Questions:

  • How are veteran graduation rates recorded and where?

  • Are institutions coding appropriately?

  • Concerns regarding reporting, tools, and metrics.

  • Communication between the VA and the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Participant learning outcomes will be centered on the above issues and questions.
