Welcome to Elevate Vets

Elevate Vets is a free professional development resource that provides easy access to regulatory, administrative, and compliance information for campus officials. Elevate Vets was launched by the nonprofit Veterans Education Success with the generous support of the ECMC Foundation and The Joyce Foundation.

We believe that supporting campus professionals who administer benefit programs for veterans and military-connected students is critical to improving educational outcomes.

In addition to increasing technical proficiency and improving cultural competency with this unique student demographic, this site will soon provide a dynamic portal for campus officials to interact with each other. These interactions between colleagues will facilitate a meaningful forum to address day-to-day operational and policy issues, including working groups on key topics, webinars and podcasts, mentorship connections, and more.

Our Pillars

The transition from military service to becoming a college student is a challenge for all students, and especially for non-traditional students like student veterans. From learning what opportunities are available to finding ways to fit into the college community, veterans, service members, and military-connected students often benefit from guidance from professionals who can help them understand, apply for, and receive benefits that will help them reach their educational goals.

The resources that you — the higher education professional, program administrator, or financial aid specialist — need to support and enrich the lives of the students you serve are organized philosophically around the pillars below. We hope the content you find here provides the tools you need to best support military-connected students and elevates your work.

We also invite your feedback and insights on these resources, so we can continue to improve higher education for student veterans nationwide. You can comment below, and we look forward to hearing from you.
